In the past, BITAHR collaborated with Northeastern College of Business Administration and Kim's Project to develop and administer a business training program for survivors of CSE. Specifically, the HERA Boston program provided entrepreneurship job training and mentorship to formerly trafficked women between the ages of 18 and 35 in the Boston area. Through our partnership with Northeastern University, HERA worked to build the young women's confidence, business acumen, and business management skills.
BITAHR plans to renew the HERA Boston in 2012 and expand the program to include literacy and GED preparatory courses. In addition, BITAHR plans to incorporate a small micro-financing loan to one business plan and businesswoman at the conclusion of the coursework. |
