This project is envisioned as the development of a legal aid coalition to empower victims of CSE to actively participate and utilize the justice system to remedy the wrongs they have suffered. Anticipated case load includes abuse prevention orders, tort actions, emancipation petitions, VAWA self-petitions and cancellations, and immigration actions. In addition, the project will incorporate a medical program that establishes guidelines on reporting potential instances of human trafficking within the constraints of privacy laws and health care laws and regulations. The project is slated for development in 2012 and implementation in 2013.
