Gretchen Effgen is the founder of Amplify Global, and an entrepreneurial, international business development consultant with nearly
15 years experience in international trade and development.

Gretchen started her career working with the governments of the Republic of Korea, People's Republic of China, and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), in Washington, DC. During her 4 years in Washington, DC, Gretchen honed a knowledge of the legislative process, global trade issues, and international human rights concerns. After completing her MBA at London Business School, Gretchen was awarded the prestigious Presidential

Management Fellowship. This allowed her to spend a year focusing on entrepreneurial funding issues before helping launch the start-up World Notes, producer of awardwinning, multi-cultural educational media.

For the last several years, Gretchen has worked with firms of all sizes through Amplify Global, which assists businesses with their international expansion needs, and reserves considerable productive time for pro bono projects in the developing world.
